Statement of Calling

A Statement of Calling helps clarify the purpose of the church.  It provides guidance for all proposed plans and projects as well as a framework for evaluating existing programs and services.  As such, it helps us to set priorities for our congregation's human and material resources.  Our Statement of Calling is:

It is the mission of Lorain Christian Temple:

• To provide the opportunities to worship God and Christ Jesus

• To be a safe harbor for individuals to engage in and nurture spiritual growth

• To be a place where the Good News is witnessed to in word and deed

• To be a place for growth of spirit, mind, and body

• To provide a sense of community

• To provide opportunities for service to others
