The Parish Nurse Program is a specialized ministry developed by Fairview and Lutheran Hospital is conjunction with a local church.  It is designed to meet the emotional, physical, and spiritual needs of an individual through a holistic approach.  Parish Nurses are registered nurses committed to the healing missions of the church and the hospitals.  They work directly within the church to assist parishioners in there search for wellness and a better quality of life.

As members of the parish staff, Parish Nurses bring health care and related service to the church family, using a variety of programs and activities which incorporate the holistic approach to health.

In times past, the church was the institution which tended to the needs of the sick.  The Parish Nurse program honors that history and takes advantage of the advances in knowledge and skill that have taken place in medical science over the last few years.
